National Grants
You've probably seen Matthew Lesko's infomercials on television. He's the guy who wears bright colored suits while talking really quickly about government grant programs. He'd like you to believe that the government is ready to simply give money to anyone who applies for it. His book is supposed to have all of the details you need in order to find and apply for these grants, but is his information really accurate?
The fact that the government makes grants available to the public is true. The government sponsors programs for medical research, construction projects, art projects, museums, and new businesses, amongst other things. Whether or not these grants are easy to obtain is another story.
Al Walker, dedicated to weeding out bad business opportunities, purchased copies of Matthew Lesko's publications. While the books are full of information, Al found that information to be incredibly unorganized. Much of the information contained within the pages was outdated, and while the books provided the names of some of the available grants, it did not share the proper methods for applying for them.
While the government does give out grants each year, they're not as easy to obtain as Matthew Lesko would lead you to believe. Accessing the billions of dollars the federal governement makes available will take quite a bit of research and work. Al posts a more detailed review of the books on his website Business Program Reviews. In the end, though, he's labeled the books confusing and unorganized.
