Every assembly work opportunity that I have come across is completely misleading and gives the customers the runaround. The ads are usually run in the back of newspapers in the classified ads section, or in the back of business opportunity magazines.
What these assembly opportunities are actually selling you is a manual which informs you of other work at home companies you can do work for. Usually they are affiliated with the work at home companies they are referring to you as well.
The manual itself costs about $39.95 and to begin work for any of the companies in the manual it costs another $39.95 for their registration fee.
The $39.95 is supposed to be refundable after you complete your work and send it back in. Have fun trying to collect that. They rarely ever pay you for your completed work.
You will usually receive a letter back stating that your work did not meet their standards and that you will not be reimbursed. These companies are making their profits merely off of the registration fees, not the completed work.
Our office has been inundated with emails from folks that have paid good money to receive lists that would tell them where they can apply for work. Each and every one tells the same story of being totally mislead. Stay away from these people!
After examining and testing hundreds of money-making opportunities and work at home programs, ONLY ONE brought in a paycheck that covered all my monthly expenses.
