Envelope stuffing opportunities are one of the oldest scams in the book. Any legitimate company is NOT going to pay you $2 to $5 to stuff their envelopes for them. Today there are machines that do this at a fraction of the cost. As low as 10 cents per envelope.
If a company claims that they are going to pay you to assemble and stuff their envelopes, I suggest RUNNING the other way. It takes common sense to see that they are not being honest with you.
However, there are some variations of envelope stuffing that are legitimate. These companies will not be paying you only to stuff envelopes though. There is other work involved including advertising and promoting.
If you find an offer for envelope stuffing that tells you that they will be sending you envelopes, stamps, and circulars and paying you $2 to $5 per envelope... it's definitely a scam.
Another way of tricking you is simply charging you for a list of companies that will hire you to do envelope stuffing and various menial tasks. They are very elaborate ads that appear to be very legitimate. They are not!
