The big misconception about network marketing and MLM is that these opportunities are all scams. This is simply NOT true as many of the new companies have quality products and services that are actually life-changing.

It's true that most "Network Marketing Systems" require distributors to approach family and friends until they join or buy from you. Even with sophisticated training in human relations and referral marketing, this is basically still the case.

Friends are not customers, they are FRIENDS. The same goes for your family and co-workers. A true business model never depends on these weak links to sustain growth and profit.

If you truly want to be successful in network marketing, make sure you have a plan of action in terms of marketing. One that doesn't subject yourself to the negativity and rejection that causes most people to quit well before they've had any kind of success..

I feel Network Marketing is an excellent vehicle for attaining wealth but not in the conventional way that it is shown. I have NEVER sold one item to my friends or family from any of the businesses that I own.

There are a few gurus that claim they have been able to bring Network Marketing and Internet Marketing together, (I call this InterNetworking) and it's very hard to do, let alone duplicate. Sending Flash movies and emails are not enough to cement a bond or a relationship and this is what's required here. Most peope that I talk with have had something to do with Network Marketing and failed.
